November 2026 Newsletter

November is here, and the halls of Amor y Esperanza are filled with music. Students have started rehearsing for the Christmas program, and almost every grade already knows its English songs from start to finish.

Speaking of Christmas, keep an eye on your inbox for our year-end initiative, Sharing the Gift of Love and Hope. Also, AyE founders Pancho and Pitty are visiting Atlanta from November 29th to December 7th.

OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS

SAMFORD UNIVERSITY & UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA VISIT

Faculty and staff from Samford University and the University of Alabama visited Amor y Esperanza, beginning in the classrooms to observe AyE teachers at work. They then shared feedback, encouragement, and their own experiences with the faculty. It was a time of spiritual and professional growth for everyone involved.

THE FIRST COMPUTER CLASS AT AYE

Students in 2nd through 12th grade started computer lab classes this month. The 2nd graders were amazed just to turn a computer on for the first time.

COMMUNITY CHURCH SERVICE

On October 17th, Amor y Esperanza hosted its monthly church service for families in the community. It was a sweet time together and a reminder that we are all called to abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." — Psalm 91:1

THE MONTH AHEAD

UPCOMING VISITORS

Amor y Esperanza has some much-loved friends visiting this month: Dr. and Mrs. Wells, and Patrick and Andrea Wherly. The school will also celebrate Thanksgiving as a community with a church service on November 21st. Planning is underway, and the hope is to welcome not only students, parents, and siblings, but also grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, just like last year.
